What is Social Verdict?
Social Verdict is a Reddit monitoring tool that helps you:
- Track brand mentions - Know when someone talks about your brand on Reddit
- Analyze sentiment - Understand if mentions are positive, negative, or neutral
- Discover insights - See which subreddits discuss your brand and what topics come up
- Get alerts - Receive notifications when new mentions are discovered
Step 1: Create Your Account
If you haven't already:
- Go to Sign Up
- Enter your email and create a password
- You'll be taken directly to brand setup
Step 2: Set Up Your Brand
After signing up, you'll set up your first brand:
Brand Name
Enter your company or product name. This is just for your reference in the dashboard.
Primary Keyword
This is the main term we'll search for. Tips:
- Be specific - "Acme Corp" is better than "Acme"
- Use your brand name - Exactly as customers would type it
- Consider variations - You can add more keywords later
Common mistake: Using a keyword that's too generic. If your brand is "Blue" or "Wave", you'll get thousands of irrelevant results. Add context like "Blue Software" or "Wave App".
Secondary Keywords (Optional)
Add alternative names, product names, or common misspellings. Examples:
- Product names: "Acme Pro", "Acme Enterprise"
- Abbreviations: "AC" (if commonly used)
- Misspellings: "Acme Corp" vs "AcmeCorp"
Step 3: Wait for Data Collection
Once your brand is set up, our scrapers start working immediately. Here's what to expect:
The dashboard will show a "collecting data" message until your first mentions are discovered. This is normal!
Tip: If you have a well-known brand, you might see hundreds of posts within hours. Smaller or newer brands may take longer to accumulate mentions.
Step 4: Explore Your Dashboard
Once data starts appearing, you'll see:
- Dashboard - Overview charts showing mention volume, sentiment trends, and top subreddits
- Posts - All Reddit posts mentioning your brand, with sentiment scores and engagement metrics
- Comments - Individual comments about your brand, searchable and filterable
- Settings - Manage keywords, set up alerts, and configure integrations

Our scrapers run continuously throughout the day. New posts are typically discovered within 1-2 hours of being posted on Reddit.
What if I don't see any mentions?
If you don't see data after 24 hours, try:
- Adding more keyword variations
- Checking if your brand is actually being discussed on Reddit
