Managing Your Subscription

Everything you need to know about managing your Social Verdict subscription - viewing receipts, changing plans, and updating your billing information.


Viewing Your Subscription Status

To check your current subscription:

  1. Click on your profile or go to Subscription Status
  2. You'll see your current plan, billing period, and next payment date

Subscription Status Page Shows:

  • Your current plan name
  • Monthly or annual billing cycle
  • Next billing date
  • Payment method on file
  • Subscription start date

Viewing Receipts & Invoices

You can download receipts for all your past payments:

  1. Go to Receipts
  2. You'll see a list of all your past invoices
  3. Click "Download PDF" to get a receipt for any payment

Tip: Receipts are also emailed to you automatically after each successful payment. Check your email or spam folder.

What's Included in Receipts

  • Invoice number and date
  • Amount paid
  • Payment method (last 4 digits)
  • Billing period covered
  • Your company details (if provided)

Updating Payment Method

To update your credit card or payment method:

  1. Go to Subscription Status
  2. Click "Manage Billing" or "Update Payment Method"
  3. You'll be taken to our secure payment portal (Stripe)
  4. Enter your new payment details
  5. Click "Save" to update

Secure: We use Stripe for payment processing. We never see or store your full credit card number.


Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade to a higher tier:

  1. Go to Subscription Status
  2. Click "Change Plan" or "Upgrade"
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

How Upgrades Are Billed

  • You'll be charged the prorated difference for the current billing period
  • Your new plan takes effect immediately
  • Future billings will be at the new rate

Downgrading Your Plan

To switch to a lower tier:

  1. Go to Subscription Status
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select a lower tier plan
  4. Confirm the change

How Downgrades Work

  • Your current plan remains active until the end of the billing period
  • The new (lower) plan takes effect at the next billing cycle
  • You keep access to all features until then

Note: Downgrading may affect features or limits. Check the plan comparison to understand what changes.


Canceling Your Subscription

We're sorry to see you go! To cancel:

  1. Go to Subscription Status
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. You may be asked to share why you're leaving (optional)
  4. Confirm the cancellation

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • No future charges will be made
  • Data is retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe
  • After 30 days, your data may be deleted

Reactivating After Cancellation

Changed your mind? You can reactivate anytime:

  1. Log back into your account
  2. Go to Subscription Status
  3. Click "Reactivate Subscription"
  4. Your data will be restored if within 30 days

Free Trial

During Your Trial

  • Full access to all features
  • No credit card required to start
  • You'll be notified before the trial ends

When Trial Ends

  • You'll need to add a payment method to continue
  • If you don't subscribe, your account will be downgraded or paused
  • Your data is kept for 30 days

Billing FAQ

When am I charged?

You're charged on the same day each month (or year for annual plans). If you signed up on the 15th, you'll be billed on the 15th of each month.

What currency do you charge in?

All charges are in USD. Your bank may apply currency conversion fees if you're in another country.

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with the service, contact us at [email protected] and we'll work something out.

What if my payment fails?

If a payment fails:

  • We'll email you about the failed payment
  • We'll retry the charge a few times over the next week
  • Update your payment method to resolve the issue
  • If unresolved, your subscription may be paused

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes! Annual plans typically offer a discount compared to monthly billing. Check the pricing page for current annual rates.
