Understanding Your Dashboard
Your Social Verdict dashboard provides insights into how your brand is perceived on Reddit. This guide explains what each metric means and how to interpret the data.
The Sentiment Score
The sentiment score is the core metric in Social Verdict. It measures how positive or negative a mention is.
How Sentiment is Calculated
Our AI analyzes the text of each post or comment to determine its emotional tone. It considers:
- Word choice and language patterns
- Context around your brand mention
- Overall tone of the message
Example: "I've been using Acme for 2 years and it's been great" scores around +0.7 (Very Positive), while "Acme support never responds" might score -0.5 (Negative).
The Relevance Score
Not every mention is equally relevant to your brand. The relevance score (0 to 1) indicates how directly a post or comment relates to your brand.
Low relevance posts are filtered out by default but can be viewed by adjusting your filters. This prevents noise from posts that merely mention your keyword in passing.
Dashboard Charts
Mention Volume Over Time
This chart shows how many times your brand was mentioned each day/week/month. Use it to:
- Spot spikes in activity (product launch, news coverage, viral post)

Sentiment Ratio
This chart shows the balance between positive and negative mentions over time. A healthy brand typically has:
- More green than red - More positive than negative mentions
- Consistent patterns - No sudden shifts toward negative
Warning sign: If you see a sudden spike in negative sentiment, investigate immediately. Check the Posts page for recent negative mentions to understand what's happening.
